Worshipful Master's Message - Nov. 2007 Trestleboard
Brethren,
Our last meeting was just like Heaven; many we expected to see were NOT there.
Just like every marriage has its ups and downs, the "Wedding Year" had a down month. I do thank
those who attended our October dinner and communication.
Let us try this month to have dinner in keeping with the season. We will have a turkey dinner
prior to the opening of Lodge. Dinner will begin at 6:30 PM. Please confirm with me that you will
attend the dinner.
Also, all members of Grand Lodge are hereby notified that we will meet at 7:15 PM in the Lodge Room
prior to Lodge. THIS IS YOUR OFFICIAL NOTICE.Take a look at some of the pictures and articles on our
website, www.stjohns-no2-de.com, Always visit the web for additional information and advance notice
of the events. This month, Gordon Parker received the Master’s Hat award. Wonder what the Master’s
Hat award is; you have to COME OUT to FIND OUT.
If you have not seen the beautiful paver block area in front of our Historic Marker, stop by. The blocks
are now dedicated and consecrated. One of the ways we keep your dues stable is by fundraisers. Our Annual
Pancake breakfast was a huge success. Thanks to Chairman Harley Spry and his committee. We are also selling
Lodge shirts and other Masonic items. I hope to have pictures and forms on our website very shortly.
A special thank you to the Shield and Square degree team who conferred the MM° on Bro. T.J. Pawlikowski.
The Shield and Square Club, a premier degree team, did an outstanding job.
This month we will honor our Veterans at the stated communication. Although I am enforcing the dress code,
I invite all vets to wear any part of your uniform that still fits. (For many, it may just be your ribbons.)
This month we are celebrating 825 years of Masonry. All Masonic birthday celebrants present will receive
the blue "forget-me-not" pin.
May the Omnipotent Father keep you and your family in his loving care from this day forward.
Fraternally yours,
Herb Atkinson
Worshipful Master
