From The East

Past Masters, Officers,
Members and Brothers,

The New Year is now upon us and I wish you and your families a prosperous and healthy year. As always, it is a good time to reflect upon our obligations to all mankind, especially brother masons. Make a New Year's resolution to come to lodge or a sponsored event.

We had our annual pancake breakfast on November 25th, and it was a huge success. We were able to net $1,342. I

want to thank the officers, members, and our ladies for all their hard work. This is always a great event.

Calling all cooks, the challenge is on...

It's CHILI TIME!

For January's meeting bring your best chili recipe to lodge. We are trying to do a statewide Masonic competition. No categories, just best tasting chili. It will be judged by members in your own lodge for a 1st and 2nd place winners. Then the winners will enter the district primaries. Date and location TBD. This will be judged by brothers in your own district. The winners of each districts 1st and 2nd place will advance to the finals at Killen's Pond at the annual Grand Lodge Picnic. Winners will be crowned grand champion, with 1st and 2nd place receiving trophies and possibly a cash prize.
